Friday I mentioned how I left the task of finding shoes for our formal dinner to the last minute.
We live in a growing suburb of Atlanta, without a mall. We have a few shops near us, but the choices can be limited.
I knew that I wanted to wear gold shoes with my red dress. I wanted to do something besides black with red.
All told, there were about five pairs of gold shoes spread out over 2-3 shops. After much deliberation, I landed on these.
These five-ish inch, platform heels were surprisingly comfortable…but I was praying I wouldn’t kill myself walking. I didn’t, and it was fun for this 5’3″ lady to feel tall for a night.
Do you know how envious I am that you can wear 5″ heels?????!!!!!!! I’m 5’8″ and my Better Half and I would look like “Mutt and Jeff” if I did that. Sigh….I love HIGH heels.

Gorgeous heels. I would die in shoes that high. Twist my ankle or worse. Good for you. Now we need a photo of the complete outfit!

I’m not a girlie girl and those are definitely girlie girl shoes. I’m sure they rocked out with the red dress. I’m 5′ 4″. It would be kind of fun to be taller, but I’ll have to do it in cowboy boots instead.

Such beautiful shoes. I cannot wear heels either. Love to look at them but they only last about 10 min on my extra wide feet before I give up. Luckily I’m tall and don’t really need them but that does mean that I wouldn’t wear them if I could.
