Little Things Thursday

Welcome back to Little Things Thursday, the iPhone addition.  I seriously feel like I need to say something about the amount of Instagramming happening here.   My camera is alive and well, but I have been so busy this week that I just haven’t been able to indulge anything beyond an Instagram or two.  However, things are looking up!  I am through the big event I have been working on for the past couple weeks.

Our church holds a annual missions conference and mid week is the big church wide dinner.  I had a hand or two in that pot.

We had a great meal with a wonderful table of exotic fruits and we heard from one of our missionaries that served in Indonesia with Wycliff. It was a great time of fellowship…but I am feeling like burnt toast. So I am keeping it short today. A night of sleep and a good cup o’ Joe in the AM will make me right as rain.

Keep me company with my cup o’ Joe.

And, seeing this makes me realize that I missed a lot of your IG photos! 🙁

Have a wonderful day, my friend…and weekend!

Missions conferences are always a lot of work! I have a friend who is in charge of ours every year and she is always exhausted when it is done. 🙂 Hope you were able to get some rest last night!

Looks like a wonderful spread. I have to ask what those bean-like things are in the basket though. I have never seen those before.

Thank you for hosting, Kim. I hope you are refreshed today!

  4. Oh I was seeing these on IG. How fun for the kids & what a great way to learn. I find myself rarely even snapping pics with my phone & really only pick up the other for anything but work these days. I still need to do b-day pics for my 2 oldest & their b-days were in Dec & Feb. I’m so behind. 🙂 Maybe if the weather keeps improving I can get out & get some pics for fun.

  5. Great learning op, I used to love days like this at school.

  6. that sounds wonderful! I’m sure you are very fulfilled right now. A group from our church went to Africa in January. I so wanted to go, but hubbie just couldn’t swing two weeks without me, even with some help. As a homeschooling mom (you know this well), the house runs a bit differently. I so want to go on one of these trips someday!

Wish I could participate in your link up today Kim, but alas I haven’t had a chance to update my blog or pick up my camera since my move last weekend (feeling like burnt toast is fitting here too ;)… wishing you plenty of rest! Love the tamarind 🙂

  8. Love seeing the tamarind – one of my favorite sauces!!

I sure understand the burnt toast analogy, that’s how I felt after working two solid days trimming and pulling in my garden over the weekend…non-stop. But I think I can safely say that my toast status is no longer burnt, just not quite fresh though! 🙂

I haven’t picked up my camera in days either, but I see the sun….I might just go chase some shadows! Have a great and restful weekend. xo

  10. I could dive face first into the plate of strawberries. I thought you would want to know that 🙂 🙂
