Little Things Thursday

December’s glow…

G Sunshine-web

Doesn’t always come from trees and lights.

Sometimes it comes from the sun shining on our children, friends, and neighbors enjoying community out in the streets.  I’ve been so happy to see our street starting to form relationships with one another.  In the early years of living here, when our children were tinier, we often felt isolated save our immediate neighbors.  I see God answering our prayers these last few months for expanded community, and it is wonderful!

I’m looking forward to deeper connections in 2014.

What’s shining down on you this December?

  6. I couldn’t agree more….it is my big motto too for 2014. As a matter of fact, I am already filtering out the ones in my rss feeder who won’t communicate or want to build a relationship in return. My time needs to be with people who want those relationships, that is why we are put on this earth right?! Your daughter just is growing into such a pretty lady…how scary is this…she will be graduating before we can say Merry Christmas♥

  18. What a blessing! I wish we had more of that in our neighborhood as well. Unfortunately, there aren’t many kids, though we do have a bond with a few next door neighbors.
