Little Things Thursday

Happy Halloween!

Jack O'Lantern

Do you have some excited Trick or Treaters, like I do?  It is going to be all we can do to get our school finished today, but maybe the kids will surprise me by working extra hard.

We have an Iron Man, Hulk, and Lucille Ball on tap for tonight.  Though Lucy is really about as improvised as possible.  She’s more like Lucy goes to the sock hop, but hopefully we are going to work it out.  This is one of those times where I wish I could sew, but that ship sailed along time ago, I think.

I hope you all see some cuties at your doors tonight!  I’m going to try to stay out of the candy bowls before the first doorbell ring of the night.

No trick or treating tonight…. but there might be a bit of dressing up with Z, maybe. We’ll see. J is away at camp and I’m sure he will have super fun Halloween with the rest of his friends and schoolmates, recently posted..A Gourd, A GourdMy Profile

  7. I love the stare down with the pumpkin! I’ve always loved Halloween. I remember, when I was very very young, a nice neighbor put bright, shiny new pennies in my penny loafers — instead of candy. YeeHaw! Happy Halloween!

  13. What an awesome picture. 🙂 I cannot wait for all that candy tonight. My kids poop out before I do. I am always trying to get them to go on one more street…. I’ll do anything for free candy.

  14. INCREDIBLE image my friend- WOW! LOVE IT!!

We don’t do the trick or treat thing here. Kids are just too old now. I will be re-making all these treats I have been sharing lately & they will be able to share them with their friends before hand. Then they will be passing out candy. Hopefully it will all be low key.

  16. Oh what fun Halloween is for the little ones. As a kid it was probably, next to Christmas, my fav holiday of the year. Great perspective of your son with the light from the pumpkin….Happy Halloween!!

  17. I do kind of miss my kids when they dressed up, so much fun! But as I mentioned in my blog, since we have a football game tonight, for which we are never home before 9, I didn’t buy any candy, but now it looks as though it will be cancelled, unless a miracle happens and this storm moves on really quickly. I’m thinking for the amount of money to go buy candy, we should just go to the dollar movie tonight, sounds like a good idea, huh? 🙂 Hopefully we will get to see the trick or treaters dressed up! Have fun…

  18. First year without ANY trick-or-treater’s of my own (altho I’ve been telling Thing #3 she is TOO old to be knocking on doors for candy for about 2 years now!). So tonight I officially morph into an “old fogey” when I leave Thing #3 at home to distribute the candy, and I head to a restaurant with the Better-Half 🙂

  19. Love that sweet profile, Kim… Talk about light meeting dark!
