Little Things Thursday

Welcome back to Little Things Thursday this week! If you missed yesterday’s post, I mentioned that we took an unintended week of due to very poor internet in the Qualla Boundary. I had hoped to prepare a post and that just wasn’t going to post. So…impromptu vacation!

I’m still trying to figure out getting all the images off this craptop to my good PC in my office so that I can use some of the tools afforded on my computer there. Like my saved collage templates for my vertical shots! Gotta find the right cable to make it happen, somewhere.

For now, one of my favorite images from our time in Cherokee.

Cherokee 63-750

My middle one just loves little kids and they love him. Aidan was such a good friend to this sweet little Cherokee girl. We all fell in love with her. I saw Aidan playing with her and making her laugh, so I ran over to capture it. I certainly could have taken a step back to prevent cutting him off at the bottom, but I am so glad I got there in time to catch this. Behind me there was so much going on like the parachute games, football throwing, other kids on swings, that I could have easily missed this.

How’s you last two weeks been? Show us what you’ve been capturing!

  7. Great picture. Thank you for hosting.

  8. I love that you were able to take a break- even if it wasn’t planned. Can you move the images to a flash & move them that way? Or maybe upload to a cloud file to download on the other computer? Hope you are able to get it worked out. I feel your pain with the laptop situation. Ours is from 2007 & it’s Windows Vista 🙂 (it sits under the bed- never touched) I finally bought a large tablet with keyboard thinking that would be a good replacement- the functionality just isn’t there. I need to do an update- but thinking I need to upgrade the desktop once again first. Gaaaaaahhh!

  12. Welcome back Kim! I love the Great Smokey Mountains and detail shots of your trip from your last post… and this one of Aidan is just precious. What a wonderful and rewarding experience for your children to spend time and learn about the Cherokee! Good luck with transferring your images, looking forward to seeing more…
