So my new camera and I have spent a few days getting acquainted with one another. All the faster CF and SD cards have been bought and employed. Just a few days in, and though not fully oriented with all features, I can say that I love the Nikon d800! We are going to be great big friends. I have not noticed any focusing issues, to my great relief.
I’m so glad that I have this new camera right as spring is about to be welcomed!

Yay! Looks like it’s the start of a great partnership!

Looks like you and your new camera have become buds really fast. Great shot of your handsome son. I am thinking about upgrading but not sure if I want to go to a full frame…right now I have the D7000 and I am drooling over the new D7100.
It’s terribly exciting!!! Look at all that gorgeous light in this shot- swooning
